We recently moved from the big city of Austin to 10 acres outside a tiny town in East Texas.

I started a new blog also. Topics include salvage mining of old houses, reusing old building materials, antiquing, design, DIY, and of course, homesteading. Here's one of our recent projects that we completed: http://livingvintageco.com/category/homesteading/rainwater-harvesting/.

I subscribed to your blog and look forward to reading more.

Here's Kim Whitley-Gaynorhttp://www.livingvintageco.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167809184876303004.post-15827438728421695572012-09-12T11:17:55.737-05:002012-09-12T11:17:55.737-05:00I look forward to hearing more of your story too. ...I look forward to hearing more of your story too. I wish I could knit that well. As for homesteading, I am extremely interested, because I want to do this or at least live off-the-grid in the future. When your family decided to become homesteaders, besides finding land, what was the first thing you did? Was it removing all debt? Begin gathering supplies (to live off-grid)? Or something else?tamekanonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04054940738057296914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167809184876303004.post-52716511169157282912012-09-04T12:01:30.442-05:002012-09-04T12:01:30.442-05:00Thank you!Thank you!The Sitting Treehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04951290466517626848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4167809184876303004.post-85962434735398778402012-09-04T12:00:36.603-05:002012-09-04T12:00:36.603-05:00nice work -- your knitting is beautiful.nice work -- your knitting is beautiful.Country Wifehttp://thesimplecountrylife.comnoreply@blogger.com
