I used my upper arm as the cast on...Thanks, Ellen. I used my upper arm as the cast on measurement, worked a gauge swatch and then multiplied my gauge by my arm measurement. That will give you a cast on number. I ribbed for a while and then decreased a bit to the wrist, then worked the hand as I do for a regular mitten.
