Catching Up

I bet you can't even guess how much catching up a girl can accomplish in one week without a modem and internet.  So much, in fact, that I can't even show you all in one post!

The boys and I picked loads of juicy, wild black cap berries on our way home from the flea market.  We planned on making pancakes with the berries for dinner, but they didn't make the ride home!

While wandering around the flea market, I also found a few vintage linens for making these adorable drawstring bags.  I made a set for us and a few for the shop too!  I've been using our bags for small knitting projects, produce bags (instead of plastic) at the market, and as a place to wrangle all of the wool dryer balls.  The boys are loving them for all sorts of treasures.

Don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what else I've got to share with you!

  1. A few years back we made a ton of fabric drawstring bags for gifts, knitting, and storage, and they just make everything more fun to carry, etc. The vintage linens are a gorgeous find, and you put them to good use.

  2. I think the orange and yellow flower bag is the same pattern as bed sheets I had as a child.

  3. Oh, I love these bags, I can think of so many uses for them! I have some birthdays upcoming -- perhaps I should get to sewing! :)
