Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny for her weekly Yarn Along....

I finished up Luke's rainbow sweater this week.  I love how fast these little seamless raglans knit up.  Easy enough to knit while chatting in the car or at the park with friends, but interesting enough with the color changes to keep from being monotonous.  And I dare say he loves it too.  He only takes it off long enough to take a bath!  Fortunately, the weather is still cool enough for wool, so he'll get some use out of it for awhile.  {I can always add an inch or two to the sleeves and waist if he has a growth spirt over the summer!}

I also cast on a pair of basic ribbed socks for myself.  With an alpaca and wool blend, they'll be a soft, warm treat for camping this spring.  {My feet have been freezing with the 40 degree nights in the camper!}

{I may have read Taproot at least three times now.  I can't wait for the next issue to arrive!}

What have you been working on this week?

  1. Where did you get your seamless sweater pattern, or is it of your own making? I hate seaming and this would be a great option. Did you do a three needle bindoff to attach the sleeves? BTW, I want to move to your neighbourhood and be your neighbour!! I think you have the coolest life and family. Bravo!!

  4. Oh my, what a lovely sweater! So cheerful and cute. I just love stripes, especially rainbow stripes =) Your sockyarn looks very cosy. What weight is that? Looks thicker than fingering to me.

  7. What a wonderful compliment to never want to take the sweater off! It looks really great. I must say I am very envious that you are still having sweater weather as I am melting down here in SC!
    Have a happy day!
