Hunting for land...

Yesterday, we loaded the kids in the van and took a road trip to visit a few properties...

Property #1:  5 acres with two mud huts.  Really, it's a shelter for two and a root cellar.  Wins the incredibly cute award, but not livable even to my low standards!

The water pump was, by far, the best thing about the property...

Property #2:  Woodland paradise...  6 acres of amazing views, mature trees, grasslands, close to a river, and surrounded by national forest.  Unfortunately, this area has seen the worst rain season in 25 years, so the ground is pretty soggy.  We aren't sure if it's always going to be like this or if it's just this year; filing it away in the "to be considered" category.

We were all pretty much emotionally drained by the end of the day, so we pulled off at a state park to  enjoy a picnic, and kick our shoes off in the evening sun...

  1. How exciting Liz - oh and I know what you mean about being exhausting - we took many trips to Maine and Vermont from Mass to look and look for properties.....
That mud house is pretty wild!
    You will find "your" place.....
