In a funk...

I've been in a funk for about three weeks now.  I can't seem to get anything accomplished.  Starting lots of projects I don't finish.  Neglecting household chores.  Cranky.  Depressed.  Feeling like my body is out of sorts.  I thought for awhile I was getting sick, until I saw a maple tree with it's leaves turning a brilliant shade of red.  Ah ha!  Now I completely understand!  The seasons are beginning to change and my body is completely confused because it's 100 degrees outside.  Fortunately, as soon as my brain realized this, my body wasn't so out of wack, and all of a sudden I could function again.  I finished three projects in one day and washed a weeks worth of dishes and laundry.  The cloud seems to have lifted from my brain and my days are happier!  In this creative life we lead, periods of lull and introspection are welcome, but I'm so glad to see them go~

A vibrant daisy and interesting trees always make me smile...

A little unschooling lesson from the oldest brother about how to angle the net, just right...

The Nina and Pinta announced their arrival with the firing of a canon...

A stroll down the pier...

Cole's favorite characters...

It's a really long pier...

A reward at the end...

An afternoon art project gone awry (aka.  no one was interested but Mike and I)...

I ♥ Luna Moths...

Came home to check on the garden and this is what happens to neglected zucchini plants...

Good thing we love zucchini bread...

And I have four more to shred...

I have a mountain of laundry to work at, but for now I'm enjoying the most wonderful day we've had in weeks.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend, too!
