I've also posted a video about how to make your own niddy noddy out of recycled pvc pipe. (This is my first video ever, so please excuse my amateur film skills!)
With a 14" spindle, you will achieve about a 70" wrap. For 100 yd skein, you'll need to wrap the yarn approximately 52 times.
I've also made a little progress on the custom baby sweater...
Happy knitting and have a great weekend~
Love the niddy noddy! And that sweater is so beautiful! Is the sweater very easy to make?
ReplyDeleteThe hood was a bit tricky at first, but after making a few, I've got the hang of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use a niddy noddy for? Pardon my non knitting knowledge.
ReplyDeleteAwesome and so simple! Now, will you post a video on how to use it? LOL...I haven't a clue!
ReplyDeleteLovely tutorial!
ReplyDeleteA niddy noddy is a tool used to wind a specific amount of yarn from a skein into a hank. It is necessary to have the yarn in a hank, when dyeing, so it won't get tangled in the dye pot. I'll try to post a video on how to use a niddy noddy in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteI arrived at your website by happen-stance and I love it! I shall return and bring friends. Am thinking who I can round up to purchase the night dress...you have such a great array of things going on...the sod busting...loved that too. Now I'm on a search as to why the straw mulch goes down before tomatoes...maybe to prevent weeds. Thanks for the treats!
